Rigtrans has an extensive range of approved equipment designs covering all major model categories and these are continuously updated in line with product development and to incorporate changes to classification societies’ latest requirements. Standard dry goods CCUs and cargo baskets, waste skips, liquid tank containers, temperature controlled units, subsea equipment, accommodation modules, rigging lofts, workshops and dog houses are all available. We can build to standardised sizes or to bespoke requirements. Offshore baskets range from lengths of 1.2m (4ft) to 32m (105ft). Dry goods CCUs are rated at payloads between 1,900kgs (862lbs) and 40,000kgs (88,185lbs). Every type of cargo can be carried and stored. Rigtrans offers specialised units to enable non-compliant equipment to be delivered to offshore structures. For example, if an offshore platform requires that all pieces of transportation equipment are rated according to the requirements of DNV, and the generator/compressor/pump that you wish to freight is not DNV compliant, Rigtrans can provide a piece of equipment which will safely and efficiently carry your equipment fully in line with the platform operator’s requirements.

Accommodation modules, offices, storage units, kitchens, paint stores, chilled and frozen refrigeration (reefer) units, workshops and rigging lofts are a speciality. Modules can be offered designed for maximum delivery efficiency or they can be customised to fit non-standard spaces. Units can be finished either in standard factory coatings or they can be painted to exacting requirements including NORSOK specification. Hot dipped galvanised finishes are also offered. Client specific liveries are available including multiple colour options, fleet numbering, owner’s or operator’s decals etc.

If an off the shelf model does not exactly fulfil your requirement, Rigtrans’ design team will work to your brief to produce a bespoke concept. All variables are taken into consideration including (where applicable) length x width x height, tare and gross weights, electrical fit out (VAC/Hz or transformers/rectifiers, regional socket design, ATEX etc.) air conditioning and/or heating equipment, cupboards, work benches, hoists, personnel entry points and/or evacuation options, sump floors for chemical stores, A-60 fire rating, Zone 1 and Zone 2 compliance etc, etc. For land based applications, standard ISO shipping containers can be used as they offer a cheaper alternative base module.

Rigtrans will liaise directly with your chosen certification bureau with American Bureau of Shipping, Bureau Veritas, DNV and Lloyds Register being the most popular. We will ensure full compliance with the bureau’s requirements leading to the sign off of the production and the issuance of certification.”
