Rigtrans has an extensive range of approved equipment designs covering all major model categories and these are continuously updated in line with product development and to incorporate changes to classification societies’ latest requirements. Standard dry goods CCUs and cargo baskets, waste skips, liquid tank containers, temperature controlled units, subsea equipment, accommodation modules, rigging lofts and workshops, open tops, side door units, flat racks and tanks are all available. We can build to standardised sizes or to bespoke requirements. Offshore baskets range from lengths of 1.2m (4ft) to 32m (105ft). Dry goods CCUs are rated at payloads between 4,000kgs (8,820lbs) and 40,000kgs (88,185lbs). Every type of cargo can be carried and stored. Rigtrans offers specialised units to enable non-compliant equipment to be delivered to offshore structures. For example, if an offshore platform requires that all pieces of transportation equipment are rated according to the requirements of DNV, and the generator/compressor/pump that you wish to freight is not DNV compliant, Rigtrans will be able to supply a piece of equipment which will safely and efficiently carry your equipment fully in line with the platform operator’s requirements.
OQuality Control engineers monitor all aspects of material supply, compliance with design specifications, check measurements and weights, test paint thickness and oversee all related requirements. If required, regular periodic reporting can be provided during the build. A full set of professional quality photographs are delivered after production is complete.
Once the equipment is built, should it be necessary to conduct testing in compliance with the issuance of certification for a new model, the factory will arrange for the required procedures to be completed including non-destructive testing etc. leading to the issuance of the required certification. A complete pack of build documentation will be provided in both physical and electronic format.”
